Silly Ideas to Stay Warm in the WinterAuthor: Kasan GroupeIn the heart of winter with windchills reaching unheard of levels and negative temps threatening frost bite and limb amputation it is key to keep your body and extremities warm. Here are a few crazy and silly ideas that you can use to stay toasty and safe in the winter. Line your coat with an electrical blanket If you’ve got the electrical skills you can buy one of those electrical blankets from most stores and then rewire it and sew it into your winter coat. The tricky part about this is you will have to rewire and make some sort of handheld, pocket battery generator to keep the electricity flowing since most of these blankets have to be plugged into an electrical socket to work. While it may be tricky it is not impossible and with a little elbow grease and electrical engineering know-how, you can get it done. Portable heater With technology today things are getting smaller and smaller, cell phones, music players, and portable heaters. Shop around to find a small, affordable portable heater and bring it with you on those cold days to keep you warm when you’re waiting for your car to heat up or for the bus to arrive. Some heaters may take some tweaking to work without an outlet but with a little work you’ll have a great, battery powered portable heater. Wooly mammoth fur If you have a time machine you could go back to 10,000 BC, sound a train horn to scare and kill a few wooly mammoths and then skin them and make a really warm coat out of their fur. The trick here is obtaining the time machine. Rumors have it that the government secretly raided the house of Nicolas Tesla after he died and found blueprints to make one, so if you can sneak into the secret US government base and steal it, then you’re that much closer to making a warm coat out of wooly mammoth fur.
